Golden Palm City is a luxurious bungalow project in Kosamba. It is a gated community with approximately 550 bungalows, a lavish clubhouse and a masjid. It is a design that exemplifies an interesting blend of contemporary and traditional concepts. A serene environment has been created by strategically placing well-manicured green pockets. The ambience of a resort has been effectively achieved by judicial balance of the built environment, hard and soft landscape throughout the project design.
Set amidst greens, inside the gated community is a clubhouse inspired by European style. The masterpiece serves as an escape from the busy, monotonous daily life for the users. The client brief is very particular in providing a very loaded and quality approved clubhouse with a clear purpose to serve the residents the best any clubhouse could offer.
A carved courtyard surrounded by characterful arcades leading to various amenities at several levels constitutes the club. A triple-height reception with a detailed sloping roof overlooking the courtyard and a water body at the entrance immediately renders a luxurious impression.
Although the courtyard has a functional significance, the main purpose is the climate effect. Having a swimming pool in the courtyard with plantations like palm trees, ficus panda, curtain creepers and plumeria helps bringing the temperature down significantly in comparison to the outer spaces. The semi-open arcades act as an element in merging the indoor-outdoor spaces.
The scintillating swimming pool with tropical styled decks serves as the heart of the courtyard. A monochrome material palette for the exterior with plantations on the multi-level terraces along with sloping roofs gives the clubhouse a very sumptuous effect.
In the evening, lit up by the lights, the clubhouse gives a very glamorous look. Any layman walking across the clubhouse feels a gentle transition from one space to another due to the appropriate use of materials and colours.
