Project Narrative
From the first floor upward, the home transitions into its primary living zones. The entrance steps lead to a landscaped green court, where trees create a gentle, calming threshold. Inside, subtle flooring shifts instinctively guide movement toward the living area, which opens into a balcony with sunken seating that faces a lush green backdrop. The architectural language is contemporary and minimalist, with materials like natural stone and timber bringing warmth and understated luxury.
The pooja room serves as an abstracted sanctum, inspired by temple typologies. An onyx backdrop, paired with brass and timber inlays, creates a serene focal point, further elevated by a skylight that bathes the space in gentle daylight. Throughout the home, nature is intentionally woven into daily experience through intimate courts, landscaped pockets, and framed green views.
The living room embraces a palette of tans and beiges with muted gold accents. The dining area opens directly into a garden court, strengthening the indoor–outdoor dialogue. The staircase is imagined as a contemplative pause- a dry pebble court with a single tree and a Buddha sculpture anchoring the space.
The second floor hosts the master bedroom and the daughter’s bedroom, both enveloped by private green courts and sit-outs. The master suite reflects calm neutrals with hints of green, while the daughter’s room features a distinctive circular opening overlooking the entrance foyer, complemented by a pivoting timber shutter that offers both privacy and playfulness. The library becomes a metaphorical tree court, its double-height space enhanced by a sculptural spiral staircase rising like an installation.
The upper floor accommodates the entertainment lounge and an additional bedroom, defined by double-height volumes, timber floors, and sunken seating. At terrace level, a jacuzzi connects to a circular void that visually links to the party space below. Sloped skylights wash the interiors with soft northern light, creating dynamic patterns throughout the day.
The architectural form emerges from spatial planning- recessed volumes soften the massing, while a projecting cube extends outward and turns upward into a skylight. Perforations, voids, and carefully crafted skylights shape an ever-evolving play of light and shadow, creating a home that is both introspective and quietly expressive.
