Project Narrative
The overall design direction of the apartment emerged once the furniture layout was established, shaped by the client’s preference for a minimal yet luxurious, bold yet understated aesthetic. Clever panelling was used across various rooms to conceal awkward structural offsets, resulting in clean lines and visual continuity.
A memorable first impression is created right at the entryway, where Kitkat tiles on the main door, jali door, and foyer wall add texture and charm. The passage leading to the bedrooms is clad in warm veneer and features a gentle curve that masks a structural beam while enabling ambient lighting. A wallpaper with illusionary arches adds depth, while the design language continues into the ceiling and internal door panels.
The living and dining zones are unified by a sophisticated green theme that brings balance and cohesion. Fluted MDF panels finished in PU coat form a stylish backdrop for the living area, where three custom pastel artworks provide visual delight. The dining zone features an expressive resin art piece by Bangalore-based artist Richa Chandrawanshi. An arched opening leads to the puja room, where a carved Jaipur marble mandir offers a tranquil retreat. The adjoining balcony continues the arched motif with stone veneers, metal planters, and a serene Buddha statue.
In the kitchen, a hidden door to the store is cleverly camouflaged within fluted panelling. Ginger quartz countertops contrast beautifully with grey full-core laminate cabinetry, while a custom breakfast counter with a black-polished wooden leg and metal-ply shelves adds contemporary flair.
Each bedroom is designed around a distinct color scheme anchored in white. The master bedroom features warm browns, stucco texture, and sucupira veneer. Krish’s room is bold in black and white, while Manya’s room uses soft blues and a sporty neon fixture. The guest room doubles as a game room, with a green palette and integrated PS5 station. Flush-panelled bathroom doors complete the home’s seamless aesthetic.
