Atmosphere Homes

Designed by 42MM Architecture, founded by Rudraksh Charan and Priyanka Khanna, this contemporary residence is an exploration of spatial fluidity, material restraint, and carefully curated contrasts. Completed in 2024, the home is conceived around a singular ambition—to create a seamless and unified living environment while maintaining the individuality and functionality of each space. The journey begins with a thoughtfully designed foyer that acts as a transitional threshold. More than an entry point, it establishes the home's visual language—calm, deliberate, and immersive. From here, the interiors unfold into an expansive living and dining space that serves as the social heart of the residence. This central volume effortlessly connects the private zones, ensuring a layout that feels both intuitive and spatially coherent. A defining architectural gesture is the dramatic double-height terrace adjoining the living area. This intervention dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior, flooding the home with natural light and creating a heightened sense of openness. The resulting interplay of volume, light, and landscape introduces a quiet serenity that permeates everyday life. Materiality is approached with restraint. Grey textured walls, charcoal metal accents, and clean geometric forms establish a refined architectural backdrop. Against this subdued canvas, carefully selected furniture pieces, vibrant textiles, and bold expressionist artworks inject warmth and personality. The design thrives on this contrast, where minimalism is not about emptiness but about creating space for meaningful visual moments. The execution process demanded adaptability. The project's intricate detailing required extensive collaboration with contractors and craftsmen unfamiliar with such precision. Through mock-ups, prototyping, and continuous refinement, the design team translated complex ideas into achievable solutions without compromising the original vision.
