Project Narrative
In this thoughtfully designed three-bedroom home, the client’s vision of a calm, beige-toned sanctuary infused with bohemian and Mediterranean influences comes alive through a seamless blend of texture, materiality, and mood. The design journey began with the client’s request for a soft, grounding palette dominated by beige—a color that conveys warmth, subtle elegance, and a sense of comfort. This neutral base set the tone for a scheme that balances the free-spirited essence of boho with the timeless grace of Mediterranean aesthetics. The interiors take on a quiet sophistication, layering natural textures and handcrafted elements to create a home that feels both curated and lived-in.
A major highlight of the design is the use of limewash textures on the walls. This choice not only enhances the tactile and visual depth of the spaces but also aligns beautifully with the rustic, handmade quality often associated with both bohemian and Mediterranean styles. Nowhere is this more evident than in the bedrooms, where walls become artistic features. In the master bedroom, the bed-back wall features a padded grid framed with gentle arches, creating a soft, sculptural backdrop. The use of limewash maintains a dead matt finish throughout, lending a serene, understated glow to each surface while aging gracefully over time.
Every piece of furniture was custom-crafted with attention to detail, in sync with the client's desire for visual harmony. A specially formulated wood stain—a shade cooler and lighter than typical tones—ensured the furniture maintained presence without overwhelming the overall softness of the palette. Design motifs such as curved edges and lattice patterns were subtly repeated across pieces, creating visual rhythm and continuity throughout the home. This language extends to the foyer, where a marble feature wall meets a bamboo-clad ceiling, and the main door greets visitors with intricate grille detailing. The console in the entrance mirrors the home’s broader vocabulary with lattice shutters and a sleek, practical form.
In the living room, the fusion of boho and Mediterranean aesthetics is at its peak. Arched niches filled with handmade pottery and dried botanicals provide visual interest, while layered rugs, textured upholstery, and soft throws invite lingering. Bedrooms continue this story with personalized touches—like geometric wall panels, woven rattan, and metallic accents—each tailored to reflect individual preferences while maintaining overall coherence. The entire home is grounded in natural materials, soft forms, and an unwavering attention to detail. This is a space where textures speak as loudly as forms, where design quietly enhances everyday living, and where the client’s vision finds form in a home that feels soulful, warm, and uniquely theirs.
