Casa Bella, meaning “beautiful home” in Italian, reflects a refined vision of contemporary living crafted by Rohini Bagla of Studio Rohini Bagla. Designed for a young couple, the residence balances modern aesthetics with thoughtful functionality, resulting in a warm and elegant home that feels both personal and timeless. The spatial experience begins with a compact yet welcoming foyer, where fluted veneer panelling and a softly illuminated circular light fixture establish the home’s design language. Gentle arches recur throughout the interiors, creating smooth transitions between spaces and fostering a sense of visual continuity. This curved geometry softens the overall composition while lending the home a subtle architectural character. The living room forms the heart of the residence. Here, a textured feature wall behind the sofa introduces an abstract biophilic pattern that echoes natural forms. Combined with a soothing palette of beiges, creams, and warm browns, the space feels calm and inviting. A large window allows natural light to flood the interiors, highlighting textures and enhancing the sense of openness. Adjacent to the living area, the dining space showcases thoughtful multifunctional design. A bespoke mandir is integrated with a sideboard and complemented by a suspended unit accented with metal detailing, adding both visual contrast and practical storage. Marble flooring grounds the entire home, while a dramatic stone finish at the television unit introduces a bold yet refined focal point. The master bedroom continues the home’s serene palette, with neutral toned walls, a sleek wardrobe, and a customised bookshelf above the study desk. The recurring arches subtly frame the space, reinforcing the cohesive design language. In contrast, the children’s bedroom introduces a lively yellow and grey palette, bringing playfulness and energy while maintaining careful spatial planning through sliding wardrobes and compact arrangements. Textured ceiling mouldings and curated artwork further enrich the interiors.
