The revitalisation of Delowar Hossain Playground extends beyond physical renewal to address deeper social and cultural realities within a historic neighbourhood of Dhaka. Situated near the Buriganga River, the site exists within a complex context that includes a crematorium, a Kali temple, a cemetery, a ritual pond, and a local saint’s mausoleum, reflecting the layered histories of both Hindu and Muslim communities.
