Project Narrative
From the outset, the designer prioritized a strong connection with Lonavala’s lush natural surroundings. The material palette reflects this ethos, incorporating natural stone, glass, and aluminum with a wood finish. Given the predominantly al fresco dining concept, wood was intentionally avoided, and wood-finished aluminum was used as a sustainable alternative.
A defining design element is the seamless inside-outside connection, brought to life through innovative sliding walls and a retractable roof. Free of hinges, this feature offers uninterrupted views of the vast natural expanse and ensures year-round usability, even during Lonavala’s extended monsoon season.
Fiori harmonizes with the property’s overarching urban rustic theme, embodying an informal elegance within a comfortable environment. Its edgy and trendy ambiance is enhanced by textures and materials that elevate the guest experience.
Sustainability is not just an ideology but a practice at Fiori. Nature-inspired elements, alongside artwork and artifacts crafted from recycled materials, contribute to a reduced carbon footprint. Locally sourced Indian stone introduces an earthy warmth, seamlessly blending with the vibrant blues and turquoises drawn from Lonavala’s ever-changing landscape.
Balancing nature with a modern touch, Fiori presents a timeless design nestled within the serene hills—a perfect retreat to rest and recharge.
