Project Narrative
The office envelope embraces curves and sculptural forms, reimagining structural beams as design opportunities and creating an organic spatial flow. Every element, from the lotus-inspired floor inlay to the veena-like architectural feature, reinforces a sense of continuity and connection. Skylights and strategically placed garden extensions dissolve boundaries between indoors and outdoors, allowing natural light, ventilation, and visual openness to permeate the office. The result is a space where energy, ideas, and inspiration circulate freely while maintaining a grounded, serene ambiance.
Director cabins are designed with bespoke furniture that blends tradition with modern ergonomics. Teakwood desks feature microtopped surfaces and concealed mechanical height-adjustment systems, preserving clean, sculptural forms while offering contemporary functionality. Brass inlays, scalloped edges, and rammed-earth finishes echo the organic language of the office, connecting furniture, flooring, and ceilings in a harmonious narrative. Repurposed elements from older structures, such as antique architectural fragments and a 35-year-old table, integrate historical textures and memories, celebrating craftsmanship and sustainability. Skylights in director cabins create dynamic plays of light throughout the day, enhancing the spiritual and visual character of each space.
Seating, shelving, and storage units follow the office’s flowing design ethos. Sofas upholstered in vibrant Indian prints, open brass shelving, and warm wooden cabinetry infuse the workspace with cultural richness, while maintaining functional clarity. The “Paduka” seating piece serves as a symbolic pause at the entrance, blending ancient tradition with contemporary comfort. Veena-inspired design elements bridge indoor and outdoor zones, reinforcing Saraswati’s symbolism and the office’s ethos of knowledge, creativity, and mindful practice.
Pravaha seamlessly integrates sustainability, biophilic design, and cultural narrative into a functional workspace. Natural materials such as reclaimed teak, sandstone, eco-friendly paints, and brass are thoughtfully combined, creating an environment that honors heritage while addressing modern requirements. Each curve, inlay, and architectural intervention reflects the family’s values and the office’s guiding principle of “flow”—a harmonious dialogue between tradition and modernity, the sacred and the functional, and the personal and professional. The result is a contemporary office that transcends mere functionality to become a living embodiment of Saraswati’s grace, wisdom, and creative energy.
