SOKOON _3BHK APARTMENT

Sukoon: A Serene Interplay of Scandinavian Simplicity and European Elegance Designed for Chandni and Chirag Mehta, Sukoon is a thoughtfully composed 3BHK apartment shaped by a clear brief—to create a calm and inviting home without relying on bold colours. A restrained palette of light-grey flooring, crisp white walls and minimal furniture forms the foundation, softened by teakwood, veneer and pastel fabrics. Scandinavian simplicity is balanced with subtle European detailing throughout the apartment. Classic PU-finished mouldings on the main and internal doors bring understated refinement. Despite its compact footprint, the foyer efficiently incorporates seating with shoe storage, a concealed inverter, an idol niche and a statement chandelier. The living room features a teakwood-and-cane sofa finished in white PU and upholstered in olive green. Centre and dining tables crafted from wooden log slices introduce warmth and organic texture. The dining area was strategically aligned with the balcony, improving circulation while accommodating a breakfast counter that extends seamlessly from the television unit. Rising above the dining table, a dried branch illuminated with delicate lights creates an unexpected focal point. To enhance spatial openness, the existing storeroom was integrated into the kitchen. The expanded quartz kitchen maintains the home’s clean visual language through white PU cabinetry, white KitKat tiles and black-tinted glass accents. In the master bedroom, a slender white PU poster bed creates a sense of visual lightness, while delicate hand-painted motifs by Ar. Kinjal Mistry add a bespoke artistic layer. A full-length mirror positioned opposite the entrance reflects natural light and enhances the perception of space. Another bedroom was transformed into an open yoga-cum-puja room, featuring wooden flooring, arched wardrobes, tropical wallpaper and a mirrored wall. A PU-and-glass puja unit with pocket doors, accompanied by a sculptural dried-tree installation, reinforces the room’s meditative quality. The guest bedroom completes the narrative with tropical wallpaper and grey-and-peach cabinetry. Through its considered planning, gentle materiality and restrained detailing, Sukoon emerges as a serene urban retreat—quietly elegant, functional and deeply personal.
