Located in Ahmedabad, Trivium Abode by Rushvi Kothari reinterprets the idea of multi-generational living through a carefully layered interior language that balances individuality with togetherness. Conceived around the notion of “layered living,” the residence accommodates three generations within a unified yet deeply personal environment. The design adopts a restrained material palette that acts as the connective thread throughout the home. Warm wooden accents, natural textures, muted tones, and soft fabrics create a calm visual continuity across spaces, allowing the interiors to feel cohesive without becoming repetitive. Within this framework, each room evolves as an expression of its inhabitant’s personality—ranging from traditional warmth to playful contemporary sensibilities. At the centre of the home lies the living room, envisioned as the social heart where generations gather and interact. Flooded with natural light, the space maintains a quiet elegance through understated detailing and tactile layering. A thoughtfully designed pooja unit anchors the living area, seamlessly integrating spirituality within the contemporary setting. Crafted with warm materials and subtle traditional motifs, it introduces a grounding cultural presence without overpowering the overall aesthetic. The private spaces continue this nuanced dialogue between identity and continuity. The grandparents’ bedroom embraces a traditional vocabulary through warm woods and muted fabrics, while the parents’ suite introduces a semi-traditional contemporary language defined by statement stone surfaces and balanced textures. In contrast, the daughter’s room adopts a chic bohemian character with blush tones and soft layering, while the son’s bedroom introduces playful graphic accents within a refined composition. Rather than treating individuality as fragmentation, Trivium Abode celebrates difference within a shared framework.
