Void and Form

In Hyderabad’s fast-growing tech district, a unique salon called Void and Form is redefining beauty spaces. Designed by the Gurugram-based studio Designery, the 1,660 sq. ft. flagship salon in Kokapet brings together two brands—N Salon and Nailashes—into a striking and immersive environment. With a rare 16-foot ceiling, the designers used the concepts of mass, void, and rhythm to create a calm yet visually powerful interior. Sculptural forms, textured surfaces, and carefully placed open spaces transform everyday beauty services into a relaxing and thoughtful experience. According to Designery’s co-founders, Deeksha Jiwani and Sushant Madan, retail design should communicate a brand’s identity without words. Their approach focuses on discovering meaningful forms that surprise visitors and leave a lasting impression. The layout of the salon is simple and fluid. Visitors first enter through a tall reception area framed by artistic product displays. At the center are hair styling stations designed for efficiency, while the nail and lash areas are placed toward the back where natural light fills the space. Organic arches subtly separate the two brands while maintaining a unified design language. A sculptural freestanding arch also creates semi-private pedicure areas. The interiors use an earthy monochromatic palette combining warm browns, pink tones, and calming greys. Textured finishes, soft lighting, and brushed gold accents add elegance and warmth. Nail areas feel bright and serene, while enclosed beauty rooms create a cozy, cocoon-like atmosphere. Through sculptural elements and thoughtful spatial design, Void and Form transforms a typical salon into a tranquil, artistic environment where beauty is not only styled but deeply experienced.
